Yogasana for Keeping fit in Diabetes
I practice Yogasana regularly and my experience is, yogasana or walking exercise, do not reduce the blood sugar level to normal level, but it helps in improving health to, sustain and reducing the bad effects of diabetes, to a great extent.Viz
I practice daily 4 types of pranayam, which keeps me fit and energetic for the whole day.
I also practice exercise for eyes, by which I can work on computer for hours without any trouble.
I do yogasana to increase the efficiency of, digestive system like lever, pancrease,nervous system and proper blood circulation and other organs in the body, these asanas energizes them and keep in good condition, and increases over all health.
I daily walk half an hour in the morning and half an hour in the evening.
For all these benefits I do following yogasanas for total 20 to 30 minutes daily.
I Practice of Pranayama in various modes as given in the books.
Exercises for eyes,eg. moving neck in horizontal plane, vertical plane and in angle between, vertical and horizontal plane. and then moving the neck in circular motion, clock wise and in anticlockwise. Moving a finger near and away from the eye and then, moving the finger in the horizontal planes on both sides, one at a time, looking to the finger without turning the neck or eyes. with this exercise you can work on computer for a long time. THE MAJOR BENEFIT Of EXERSISE OF CIRCULAR MOTION of the neck IS, IT HELPS IN CONTROLING THE BALANCE WHILE WALKING, WHICH IS A COMMON PROBLEM IN OLD AGE
I sit in vajrasana and bend like a position used in Namaj action, this is good for digestion and organs in stomach.
I sit in the position by keeping my one heel under the buttocks and second one crossed with it, this keeps prostate gland and sexual gland in good condition. 5] Sit in Padmasana and do fast breathing for 2 to 3 times. I also practice, Makarasana,Sarvangasana, Shavasana, Purna Shalabhasana, Kapalbhati,and Bhstrika All these asanas take 15 to 20 minutes, they keep me fit and active for the whole day and I get good sleep in the night, for 6 to 7 hours. but do not be under impression that these asanas or walking, will bring your blood sugar under normal level.
